It is important to be aware of the bank timings if you are planning to visit the bank. It can save you time and energy by planning your schedule beforehand. Sometimes what happens is we randomly go to the bank and find it closed or sometimes, we end up standing in a long queue. Usually, the banks in India open at around 9 am to 10 am and close at 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Bank of Baroda timings on weekdays (that is from Monday to Friday) is from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. The bank provides all the services during these working hours. Bank of Baroda is closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and remains open at the same time as on weekdays on the first, third and fifth Saturday of the Month. Bank of Baroda sets the lunchtime from 1 pm to 2 pm. However, there is no interruption in the services. Bank of Baroda timings for fund transfers
For NEFT transactions, the processing window is open from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM every day, excluding 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays. However, customers can access NEFT services through online banking 24×7 without any charges for fund transfers.
Regarding RTGS transactions, Bank of Baroda facilitates transfers from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on all working days, except for 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays. Additionally, customers have access to Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) 24×7 for transferring funds to other banks.
For fund transfers, you can go for online options like Internet banking or mobile banking. The banks in India have their own mobile banking apps such as IndOASIS for Indian bank, SBI YONO for SBI, Canara ai1, etc. There are two apps available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The primary Bandhan bank app is “mBandhan app” and “BHIM Bandhan UPI App” is the app for UPI related transactions. The introduction of all these apps makes it easier for bankers to carry out various banking activities.
Fund transfer through Mobile banking apps
It is quite easy to make a fund transfer through mobile banking apps. Here are the steps to follow:
- Open the app you have on your device.
- There will be a “fund transfer” option on the dashboard.
- Select it and also select the type of transaction you want to make.
- Select the beneficiary if it is already added, if not, you have to add the beneficiary first.
- Then enter the amount of the transaction you want to make and click confirm.
- You will get an too for the transaction, you have to enter it and click confirm. The amount will be deducted from your account and transferred to the recipient’s account.
Fund transfer through Internet banking
It is also one of the convenient ways to transfer money. The steps are almost the same.
- Open your browser and go to the official net banking page of your bank. Log in using the userId and password that you set when you registered for Internet banking.
- There will be a “fund transfer” option on the dashboard.
- Select it and also select the type of transaction you want to make.
- Select the beneficiary if it is already added, if not, you have to add the beneficiary first.
- Then enter the amount of the transaction you want to make and click confirm.
- You will get an account for the transaction, you have to enter it and click confirm. The amount will be deducted from your account and transferred to the recipient’s account.
How to add a beneficiary for fund transfer?
To add a beneficiary, go to the official internet banking page of your bank. Log in using the credentials (user ID & password). Go to “fund transfer” and on the submenu, you will find “add beneficiary”. Tap on it and you will see the space to enter the details of the beneficiary such as names, account number, IFSC code, etc. Enter it and click confirm. Then, enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and click confirm again. The beneficiary will be added after 30 mins. This process may vary from one bank to another according to their setting but it will not be a huge difference. You can still refer to these general guidelines.
Fund transfer through UPI apps
There are many UPI apps in use now. This is one of the quickest and easiest ways to transfer money. You can download any app you like: Gpay, PhonePe, Paytm, SamsungPay, etc. Link your bank account with the app by providing all the bank details. Set a 4-digit or 6-digit PIN code according to the bank. After you are done setting up, you can start sending money. Just open the app and select whoever you want to transfer the money to. You can either search from your phone contacts or enter the mobile number. Then, enter the amount and add a description if you want. Then, click send and the amount will be transferred instantly.
